--Ferebee Pump Station Concrete Pour Update--

Ferebee Pump Station Concrete Pour

Ferebee Pump Station Concrete Pour map

Two concrete pours are scheduled to occur on October 22nd and October 24th between 8AM - 5PM. Our contractors will start two separate concrete pours at the new Ferebee Pump station site to pour further sections of the new pump station’s walls.

On the pour days, one to five concrete pump trucks will be staged on Ferebee Avenue across from the pump station site, seen in green to the right. Additional trucks may be staged on Edgewood Avenue, seen in the blue area to the right.

Setup will begin at 7AM and the pour will begin at 8AM. Contractor staff or “flaggers”, stationed in the orange areas on the map, will be present to guide traffic coming in and out of Ferebee and Edgewood Avenues and around trucks stationed on Bainbridge Boulevard as the pour happens. Our contractors may request a lane shutdown with the city to stage the trucks in front of the station site.

Bainbridge Boulevard Sewer Pipeline Update

Excavation and pipeline work continues at the intersection of Swain Avenue and Bainbridge Boulevard this month with the installation and cleaning out of manholes along with pressure testing. Restoration of this area is underway with the forming and pouring of concrete curbs, gutters, handicap ramps, and driveway aprons. Contractors also prepared the area for temporary asphalt paving.

Our team mobilized to the intersection of Bainbridge Boulevard and Byrd Avenue and began excavation of a pipe trench towards Orville Avenue.

The pipeline construction is planned to be completed by late fall 2025.

Park Avenue Pump Station Update

Start-up preparation activities have continued at the Park Avenue Pump Station including the installation and testing of generator elements, testing of valves and pumps, and further calibration of flow meters. Construction is ongoing through late 2025.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise and traffic, along with the people and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
