Events will feature onsite interviews to make contingent job offers

VIRGINIA BEACH – HRSD is hosting Operations and Maintenance Career Open House events on November 5 from 9 am to 1 pm at its Virginia Beach and Newport News administrative offices:

• 1434 Air Rail Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23455
• 2389 ‘G’ Avenue, Newport News, VA 23602

These events will feature onsite interviews with potential to receive contingent job offers that day. HRSD is hiring for several positions to fill vacancies at facilities throughout the region, including utility maintenance assistants, heavy equipment operators and maintenance operations assistants. There are also open positions in the HRSD Apprenticeship Program that include utility maintenance technician, maintenance operator, plant operator and system operator.  

Hourly rates range from $19.27 to $30.96 depending upon position and experience level. Benefits  include a $2,000 hiring bonus and 80 hours of advanced Paid Time Off with the first paycheck. Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumes and two professional references.
