Rodgers Street Sewer Pipeline Update
Our contractors have begun excavation on Rodgers Street and are scheduled to begin installation of new sewer pipeline in the second half of June. This pipeline work is expected to reach Holly Avenue by the beginning of July.

--Utility Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin the sanitary sewer rehabilitation work along Fox Hill Road and Beach Road from Old Buckroe Road to Westlawn Drive. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

--Early Morning Concrete Pour--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to pour concrete for the Tabb Pressure Reducing Station & Offline Storage Facility. To accomplish this task, we are planning to start earlier in the morning outside of normal hours. This early morning work should take place primarily between the hours of 1 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The HRSD Commission, an eight-member board appointed by the Governor of Virginia, meets monthly to set policy and decide budget matters. The members, who live in the localities comprising HRSD's service area, serve four-year terms. The term of each member continues until their successor is duly appointed and qualified. Commission members are eligible for reappointment without limitation as to the number of terms that may be served.
The Commission is charged with managing and controlling the functions, affairs and property of the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD). HRSD's operation is accomplished by its employees under the direct supervision of the General Manager. The Commission Governance Guidelines are intended to support the Commission in its oversight role, which is set forth in the Acts of Assembly.
Unless otherwise announced, the HRSD Commission meets at 9:00 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with the exception of November and December when the Commission meets on the third Tuesday.
Construction Notice Update for the City of Virginia Beach - June 2024
--Utility Work To Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance on the sanitary sewer piping along Old Dam Neck Road. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. beginning as early as Thursday, June 27th. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.
