Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled on George Washington Highway at Old Mill Road for Utility Work

CHESAPEAKEHRSD crews will be performing utility repair work on George Washington Highway near the intersection of Old Mill Road from 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. tonight and again on Wednesday, February 15. This work will require a reduction in travel lanes to safely perform the required repairs, so motorists may experience travel delays in the area during work hours.

The left southbound lane, southbound left turn lane and inside northbound lane of George Washington Highway will be closed. Motorists traveling south on George Washington Highway wishing to turn left onto eastbound Moses Grandy will be detoured through the intersection to make a U-turn to access Moses Grandy
