Larchmont Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements Program

Body

A Message To Our Neighbors

Starting as early as August 23, 2023, and continuing through August 25, our contractor, GET Solutions, Inc., has been authorized to perform work on behalf of HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, and the City of Norfolk as part of the Larchmont Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements Program. This program will replace, upgrade, and relocate sanitary sewer pump stations and their connecting pipelines in the Larchmont-Edgewater community.

GET Solutions, Inc. will drill test bores on selected future pump location sites within the neighborhood to determine the location of underground utilities. All this work will occur on-site and will not require access to your property. Additionally, it will not disrupt wastewater service to your property. There will be no road closures or detours that will affect traffic routes.

This work will enable us to advance the engineering design of the Larchmont Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements Program so that we can update you in Fall 2023 about our construction timeline and plan.

The map below shows the general area in which the utility work will be completed. The colored boxes indicate which areas will be impacted, but the timing of the work will vary based on contractor progress, weather, and other variables.

Additionally, surveyors from our contractor Precision Measurements will be conducting survey work on the future Hanover Pump Station site at 933 Hanover Avenue. This work is scheduled to take place between mid-September 2023 and mid-October 2023.

If you have concerns about the presence or performance of any worker while accomplishing these duties on our behalf, you may contact Lisa Bolen, HRSD Public Information Specialist, at 757.460.7000.
