Virginia Beach Boulevard Pipeline Improvements

Project Overview

The Virginia Beach Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Improvement project will replace the existing aging sewer pipeline with a new 42-inch pipeline to move increased sewer flow along Virginia Beach Boulevard from Kings Grant Road to Great Neck Road.  Portions of Virginia Beach Boulevard, intersections from Kings Grant Road to Great Neck Road, Eureka Avenue, and Parker Lane will be impacted at some point throughout construction.

Specific Information for Residents/Business Owners Accessing Eureka Avenue: In the coming weeks, partial road closures are planned for pipeline installation. During pipeline installation along Eureka Avenue, routes to/from the neighborhood will be limited – Residents will be able to enter/leave the neighborhood either via the northern route (Virginia Beach Boulevard) or the southern route (Southern Boulevard). Detailed signage and barriers will be in place to direct traffic. For businesses, the partial road closure from Virginia Beach Boulevard to north of Haven Road will allow access to businesses via Virginia Beach Boulevard only. This portion of the project work is estimated to last approximately 2-3 months. Work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
