Cook’s Corner Sewage Collection System

Body

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the County of Middlesex, is planning a project to install a new collection system on General Puller Highway in the Village of Cooks Corner. The answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are provided here.

Project Overview

HRSD is undertaking a project to develop a sewage collection system within the Cooks Corner Service Area located within Middlesex County, VA. The sewage collection system will include a pump station and its associated sewer pipes. This project will help facilitate the closure of the Central Middlesex Treatment Plant within Middlesex County.

The project is located in Middlesex County’s Cooks Corner area, along General Puller Highway, just past the intersection of Urbanna Road/Old Courthouse Road and General Puller Highway. This project includes pipelines, manholes, and sewer service lateral pipes. Theses pipes will be located within the VDOT right-of-way, as well as some private properties. The contractor will maintain a clean job site and minimize traffic disruption.
