NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews are installing utilities at the Lucas Creek pump station as part of the Lucas Creek Pump Station Replacement. During this work, Old Lucas Creek Road will remain closed to through traffic. Residents and emergency vehicles will continue to have access to Old Lucas Creek Road with flaggers onsite to direct traffic. The detour is scheduled to begin as early as February 28, and expected to remain in place until Tuesday, March 4. This road closure will be in place Monday through Friday during the hours of 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
