Temporary Lane Closures, Detour Scheduled for Intersection of Big Bethel Road and Mercury Boulevard for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation

HAMPTON – Motorists are advised that HRSD is scheduled to perform sanitary sewer rehabilitation work that will require the temporary closure of lanes at the intersection of northbound Big Bethel Road and West Mercury Boulevard. Lane closures are scheduled to begin the week of March 9, 2020 and remain in place through the end of March.

During the rehabilitation work, motorists traveling on Big Bethel Road will follow a signed detour around the affected intersection. For motorists travelling in either direction on Mercury Blvd who wish to access Big Bethel Road, the detour will be Gumwood Drive to Butternut Drive to Aspenwood Drive to Albany Drive and to Big Bethel Road. For motorists travelling westbound on Mercury Blvd, the signed detour will be Yale Drive to Butternut Drive to Big Bethel Road as indicated in the map located here.
