Road Closure, Detour Scheduled for Portion of Old Lucas Creek Road in Newport News
NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be installing sewer pipe for the new Lucas Creek Pump Station. This work will require a full closure of Old Lucas Creek Road between Debbie Lane and Lucas Creek Road from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30 - Wednesday, June 4. The road will be open over the weekend. Motorists will need to follow the marked detour using Lucas Creek Road and Denbigh Boulevard as indicated on the map below.
School buses, emergency responders, and local residents will be allowed to enter the closure area as needed.
This work is part of the Lucas Creek Pump Station Replacement project and is weather dependent and subject to change or require additional time. Please visit the Newsroom on HRSD.com for updates and schedules.
