PORTSMOUTH – HRSD crews and contractors have completed emergency repairs on the failed 30-inch sewer force main on Douglas Avenue near Rolfe Terrace. A 40-foot section of the pipeline has successfully been replaced and is now back in service. With this, around-the-clock pump and haul operations have concluded.
HRSD crews and contractors have worked nonstop since Tuesday evening to make repairs and clean up as much of the spill material as possible.

PORTSMOUTH – HRSD crews and contractors are making steady progress on emergency repairs following the sanitary sewer force main failure in Portsmouth on Douglas Avenue near Rolfe Terrace. Since yesterday's update, crews have completed a key underground pipeline assessment that is helping guide the next phase of repairs.

PORTSMOUTH – HRSD crews and contractors have stopped wastewater flows from the failed 30” force main on Douglas Avenue near Rolfe Terrace with around-the-clock pump and haul operations. This has allowed crews to do a more thorough damage assessment to the pipe and begin mobilizing repairs.

PORTSMOUTH – HRSD crews and contractors are working to assess damage, make repairs and begin cleanup efforts after a 30-inch force main failed this evening on Douglas Avenue near Rolfe Terrace in Portsmouth. As a result, Douglas Avenue is closed between Wesley Street and Adriatic Street.
Crews will be implementing around the clock pump and haul operations as this section of pipeline cannot be diverted.

UPDATED INFORMATION
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to rehabilitate a sanitary sewer pipeline along Cedar Lane. Bypass piping assembly will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, while Cured-In-Place-Piping (CIPP) installation will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
