HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install and bury sewer pipe across Menchville Road from Riverview Farm Park to near BC Charles Elementary School as part of the James River Treatment Plant SWIFT Project. This work will take place primarily 6am to 2:30 PM Monday-Friday.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer pipelines throughout West Point. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday–Friday.

NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSDcrews are continuing work to install and test sewer pipe for the new Lucas Creek Pump Station which will be followed by roadway restoration work. This work will require weekday closures of Old Lucas Creek Road between Debbie Lane and Lucas Creek Road and a closure of the right northbound lane of Lucas Creek Road, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., through Fall 2026.

Sewer pipeline replacement work on Perry Street resumed in mid-June with excavation and the installation of a manhole at the intersection of Park Avenue and Perry Street.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to rehabilitate a sanitary sewer pipeline along Cedar Lane. Bypass piping assembly will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, while Cured-In-Place-Piping (CIPP) installation will take place primarily between the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will perform sanitary sewer investigatory work in the vicinity of your home along Kirby Street and 1st Street. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday–Friday.
SUFFOLK – Motorists are advised that HRSD contractors will be performing a sanitary sewer pipeline replacement that requires lane and intersection closures at the intersection of Wilroy Road and U.S. 58 Business (E. Constance Road/Portsmouth Boulevard). During this work, traffic will follow a signed detour using either Elm Street or Myrtle Street as indicated on the map below. The detour is scheduled to begin the evening of July 13 and is expected to remain in place through the end of July.
