During this work, Old Lucas Creek Road will remain closed to through traffic. HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to repair aerial crossing pipeline supports over Oastes Creek. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
--Intersection/Road Closure at Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline across the intersection of Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. The road closure/detour will be in place 24 hours/day.
CHESAPEAKE – HRSD crews will install sanitary sewer pipeline at the intersection of Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard beginning as early as Monday, March 10, with work expected to continue for 4-6 weeks.
Passenger vehicles will follow a signed detour route for thru traffic for Bainbridge Boulevard using S. Military Highway, Campostella Road, Great Bridge Boulevard, Lincoln Street, and Outlaw Street as indicated on the map below.

NORFOLK – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be performing sanitary sewer pipeline improvements at the intersection of Newtown Road and Elam Avenue that requires lane and intersection closures. During this work, traffic will follow a signed detour using Coliss Avenue and Fair Meadows Road as indicated on the map below. The detour is scheduled to begin as early as March 3 and is expected to remain in place for 2 to 3 weeks.
