Team Pain set to begin construction September 14
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – After hosting two design workshops and gathering feedback through online surveys and emails, Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation, in partnership with HRSD, is unveiling the final design of the new Woodstock Skate Park. The 30,000 square-foot park was designed by the creative minds at Team Pain who will begin construction on September 14 with a tentative opening in summer 2021.

HAMPTON – HRSD was honored by the Water Research Foundation (WRF) this week, receiving the 2020 Outstanding Subscriber Award for Applied Science. HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, continues work in your area. The Virginia Beach Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Improvement project will replace the existing 24-inch sewer pipeline with a larger 42-inch pipeline to reliably move increased sewer flow along Virginia Beach Boulevard from North Lynnhaven Road to Great Neck Road. The work in your area should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Virtual meeting scheduled via Skype
VIRGINIA BEACH -- In adherence with CDC recommendations of physical distancing to minimize the spread and exposure to COVID-19, the next meeting of the HRSD Commission will be a virtual meeting held via Skype on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

NEWPORT NEWS – The HRSD Department of Water Quality, working in partnership with the Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at the University of Notre Dame and the Division of Environmental Health Sciences College of Public Health at The Ohio State University, has shared the results and methodology of their recent research involving COVID-19 surveillance of wastewater entering HRSD wastewater treatment plants.
