HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Chesapeake, is planning a project in your neighborhood to remove from service an aging sewer force main and reroute City force main connections. This replacement project will also improve the system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. This replacement project will also improve the system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to replace a section of the 24-inch sanitary sewer pipeline with a 42-inch pipeline along Virginia Beach Boulevard extending from Kings Grant Road to Great Neck Road. This large project also includes some smaller diameter pipeline and utility relocation work. The current work in your area should take place primarily at night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

NEWPORT NEWS -- HRSD will hold its annual meeting to review the status of the Integrated Plan/Regional Wet Weather Management Plan (RWWMP) at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at HRSD’s North Shore Operations Center at 2389 G Avenue, Newport News, Virginia. The meeting will take place in the second floor conference room.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work on setting up the bypass piping and pumping system for the upcoming rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer pipeline on Jefferson Avenue. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Friday.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, continues work to replace a sanitary sewer pipeline located along Huxley Place. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday morning to Friday evening.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work on rehabilitation/replacement of the sanitary sewer pipeline on Mercury Boulevard. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
