--Utility Work to Resume--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline along Fontainebleau Crescent and Versailles Avenue. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Friday.
--Drilling for Instrument Installation Beginning May 2025--
NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be testing and installing sewer pipe for the new Lucas Creek Pump Station. This work will require a full closure of Old Lucas Creek Road between Debbie Lane and Lucas Creek Road from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 until Friday, June 13. Motorists will need to follow the marked detour using Lucas Creek Road and Denbigh Boulevard as indicated on the map below.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to replace pipe and manholes along Bainbridge Boulevard. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be installing sewer pipe for the new Lucas Creek Pump Station. This work will require a full closure of Old Lucas Creek Road between Debbie Lane and Lucas Creek Road from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30 - Wednesday, June 4. The road will be open over the weekend. Motorists will need to follow the marked detour using Lucas Creek Road and Denbigh Boulevard as indicated on the map below.
--E. Washington Street Pump Station Site Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline and pump station on E. Washington Street. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
WILLIAMSBURG – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will continue work to restore the area near the right westbound lane of Humelsine Parkway (Route 199) near College Creek, which will require intermittent closures of the right westbound lane. The intermittent lane closures will take place Monday-Saturday during the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m. until Summer 2025.
