HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance of the sanitary sewer piping along Independence Boulevard at the Broad Street intersection. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. on Saturday August 12th and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday August 13th. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.

Smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system will take place within the Olde Towne, Park View, West Park View, and Swimming Point areas in the City of Portsmouth from August through September.

--Utility Work to Begin--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install sanitary sewer pipes as shown in the image on the back of this notice between William R. Harvey Way and the City of Hampton Pump Station.  The work should take place between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday.

--Riverview Farm Park Trails Construction Update--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking improvements for the James River Treatment Plant SWIFT project. The installation of over 1 mile of new asphalt and boardwalk trails adjacent to Riverview Farm Park and Menchville Marina and on HRSD’s property is underway (refer to the map on the back for more information). This work will typically only take place during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm (Monday-Friday) in compliance with the project’s weekday work hours.

VIRGINIA BEACH – HRSD crews will be performing utility inspection and maintenance work on Independence Boulevard near the intersection of Pembroke Lake Circle beginning as early as 8:00 a.m. Saturday August 5, and lasting until 8:00 p.m. Sunday August 6. This work will require a closure of the inside northbound travel lane on Independence Boulevard as indicated on the map below.
