NEWPORT NEWS – The Potomac Aquifer Recharge Oversight Committee meeting scheduled for Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. has been canceled due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. An updated public meeting notice will be posted once the meeting is rescheduled.

NEWPORT NEWS -- HRSD will hold its annual meeting to review the status of the Integrated Plan/Regional Wet Weather Management Plan (RWWMP) at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022. The meeting will include information about the extensive cooperation between HRSD and the localities it serves, as well as steps residents of the region can take to protect area waterways.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance of the internal sanitary sewer piping and valves along Laskin Road. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.
