HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking an expedited pipeline replacement project to replace a sanitary sewer piping within the Western Branch Commons community. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your waterd or sewer services.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline within W. County Street between Woodland Road and Bainbridge Ave. This work will mostly occur between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday. There is a possibility for some work to occur between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday – Friday if it is necessary for work to occur in 2 lanes of traffic. Work occurring overnight will be minimized to the extent possible.

As part of a City of Chesapeake water pipeline project, Bridgeman Civil needs to complete nighttime work to re-asphalt the intersection of Bainbridge Boulevard and Park Avenue on Thursday, August 11. This brief period of nighttime work is necessary so that the contractor can continue its work on the HRSD sanitary sewer replacement project.

Clearing Notice Update #1 for the City of Newport News - August 2022

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is planning to clear the utility easement adjacent to your neighborhood. This clearing will occur in the grassy area behind properties on Tyler Avenue; in the picture below, it is the highlighted area where the green line is. This clearing needs to be done so that access to the HRSD sewer pipe can be maintained. Clearing is scheduled to begin on August 12, 2022 and should take place between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.

VIRGINIA BEACHHRSD crews will be performing sanitary sewer work which requires the temporary closure of all northbound lanes on Little Neck Road between Edinburgh Drive and N. Lynnhaven Road beginning Friday, July 29th at 8:00 p.m. through Tuesday, August 2nd at 5:00 a.m. A detour will be in place for thru traffic by way of Virginia Beach Boulevard, Kings Grant Road, and N. Lynnhaven Road as indicated on the map below.
