Traffic Advisory - January 2, 2025

 

PORTSMOUTH – Motorists are advised that HRSD will be performing sanitary sewer pipeline improvements on Elmhurst Lane between Green Meadow Drive and Dovenshire Street that requires a road closure. During this work, traffic will follow a signed detour as indicated on the map below. The detour is scheduled to begin as early as January 6 and is expected to remain in place for 6-8 weeks.

News Release - April 24, 2022

 

CHESAPEAKEHRSD crews worked through the night to repair a 36-inch force main failure that occurred early Saturday morning near 3025 Gum Court in Chesapeake, finalizing repairs and stopping the leak early Sunday morning. Initial assessments indicate external corrosion as the cause of damage and resulting leak. The preliminary estimated volume of wastewater spilled is approximately 500,000 gallons.
