HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working on a project to install a sanitary sewer pipeline along Canal Drive between the intersections of Shell Road and South Military Highway. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Tree removal along Canal Drive between Shell Road and South Military Highway will occur in the upcoming weeks to prepare for pipeline installation.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work for milling and paving as part of our ongoing project. The work is scheduled to take place between July 18th through July 20th. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday-Monday. A single lane closure, with flaggers, will take place along Shell Road and along Winslow Avenue.

CHESAPEAKE HRSD crews continue working to complete repairs on a sanitary sewer force main at the intersection of Kempsville Road and Stillwater Drive. It has been determined through water sampling that a small amount of diluted sewage from the stormwater retention pond adjacent to Kempsville Road and the Great Bridge Bypass may have reached the intercostal waterway in the vicinity of the Great Bridge Lock Park.
