We all experience it daily—flush the toilet, take a shower, or wash our clothes—and POOF, the dirty water disappears. But have you ever wondered where it all goes?
--Utility Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to replace valves and associated piping, near the intersection of Commander Shepard Boulevard and Bellgrade Drive. This effort will provide HRSD flexibility to make changes to the systems operation during maintenance or emergencies. The work will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.
--Utility Work to Occur--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to install a new sanitary sewer pump station and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer and manholes in the Phoebus area. This work is being done to resolve capacity, operational, and maintenance issues that currently affect the existing pump station and pipes that are near the end of their useful life. The work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, and could include weekend work.
--Pavement Restoration Update--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to install a new sanitary sewer pump station and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer and manholes in the Phoebus area. The areas around the completed manholes will be restored. The restoration work will include milling and paving. The work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, and could include weekend work.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline along Fontainebleau Crescent and Versailles Avenue. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Friday.
--Richmond Crescent Pump Station Rehabilitation Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, has a project to replace or rehabilitate pump stations and sewer pipelines in the Larchmont neighborhood. Work to rehabilitate the existing HRSD Richmond Crescent Pump Station is about to begin. This rehabilitation project will improve the system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
--Powhatan Pump Station Rehabilitation Work to Begin--
--Hanover Pump Station Work to Begin--
WILLIAMSBURG – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will continue to replace a sewer pipe valve in the right westbound lane of Humelsine Parkway (Route 199) near College Creek, which will require the closure of the right westbound lane. The lane closure is expected to remain in place Monday-Saturday during the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for the next 1-2 weeks.
