In cooperation with the Town of Mathews, HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is planning to replace sanitary vacuum sewers located in this area as part of a larger, federally-mandated program to reduce the sewage overflows during rainstorms. This project is necessary to increase the reliability and capacity of the vacuum sewage collection system by replacing the undersized, aging infrastructure with new, higher capacity infrastructure. These upgrades will alleviate current and future vacuum pressure issues.

Traffic Advisory - August 15, 2019

NORFOLK HRSD has completed emergency repairs on East Little Creek Road between West Glen Road and I-64. The center and left lanes are open to traffic; however, the right lane remains closed. Motorists accessing East Little Creek Road via Exit 276C from I-64 West are no longer restricted from turning left into the westbound lanes of East Little Creek Road.
