NEWPORT NEWS -- HRSD will hold its annual meeting to review the status of the Integrated Plan/Regional Wet Weather Management Plan (RWWMP) at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The meeting will provide information about the extensive cooperation between HRSD and the localities it serves, as well as the steps residents in the region can take to help protect public waterways.

The installation concrete piles will be ongoing intermittently during the project. The installation of over 1 mile of new asphalt and boardwalk trails adjacent to Riverview Farm Park and Menchville Marina and on HRSD’s property is underway (refer to the map on the back for more information). This work will typically only take place during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm (Monday-Friday) in compliance with the project’s weekday work hours.

Due to the extended amount of time, it will take to pour a large quantity of concrete, we are planning to start earlier in the morning outside of normal work hours. This early morning work should take place primarily between the hours of 4 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
