NORFOLK – HRSD crews will be working within the right and center lanes of westbound East Little Creek Road at the I-64 overpass beginning at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 8 and continuing through 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9. Crews will be completing final restoration of the road surface which was previously removed during emergency sanitary sewer repairs in the area.
CHESAPEAKE – HRSD crews continue working to complete repairs on a sanitary sewer force main at the intersection of Kempsville Road and Stillwater Drive. It has been determined through water sampling that a small amount of diluted sewage from the stormwater retention pond adjacent to Kempsville Road and the Great Bridge Bypass may have reached the intercostal waterway in the vicinity of the Great Bridge Lock Park.
CHESAPEAKE – HRSD crews continue working to complete repairs on a sanitary sewer force main at the intersection of Kempsville Road and Stillwater Drive. Sampling from nearby waters following the spill indicates that it is contained within the stormwater retention pond adjacent to Kempsville Road and the Great Bridge Bypass. HRSD crews are developing a remediation plan to clean up the stormwater retention pond and will begin mobilization today.
