This replacement project will improve the sewer system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to install a new sanitary sewer pump station and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer and manholes in the Phoebus area. This work is being done to resolve capacity, operational, and maintenance issues that currently affect the existing pump station and pipes that are near the end of their useful life. The work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday and could include weekend work.

NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be installing a valve along Patrick Henry Mall’s Access Loop Road near the northwest Macy’s parking lot as part of the Kiln Creek/Patrick Henry Mall Area Sewer Pipe Replacement. During this work, motorists can follow a signed detour around the portion of Access Loop Road as indicated on the map below.
