--Utility Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to rehabilitate the sanitary sewer pump station on Thompson Avenue and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer pipelines and manholes in the Town of West Point and the Town of Urbanna. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system will take place within the Arcadia Heights, Fairville, Highland Biltmore, Highland Park, North Truxton, and Truxton areas in the City of Portsmouth during the month of October.
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Newport News, is planning a project in your neighborhood to rehabilitate the existing HRSD sanitary sewer manhole that is nearing the end of its useful life. This rehabilitation project will also improve the system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. HAMPTON - HRSD crews will be installing sanitary sewer pipeline at the intersection of Fox Hill Road/Silver Isles Boulevard and Old Buckroe Road beginning as early as 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, and lasting up to 4 months.

September Project Update – September 2023
--Riverview Farm Park Trails Construction Update--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking improvements for the James River Treatment Plant SWIFT project. The installation of over 1 mile of new asphalt and boardwalk trails adjacent to Riverview Farm Park and Menchville Marina and on HRSD’s property is underway (refer to the map on the back for more information). This work will typically only take place during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm (Monday-Friday) in compliance with the project’s weekday work hours.
--Utility Work to Continue--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline along Old Buckroe Road north of Salt Pond Road and along Fox Hill Road at the intersection of Old Buckroe Road. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
--Early Morning Concrete Pour--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to pour concrete for the new Pump Station building. Due to the extended amount of time, it will take to pour a large quantity of concrete, we are planning to start earlier in the morning outside of normal work hours. This early morning work should take place primarily between the hours of 4 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
